Hello, fellow moviegoers! Kevin Hart: What Now? is the latest film to come from the mind of Kevin Hart. As you might expect, it stars Hart, alongside Halle Berry, Don Cheadle, and Ed Helms. Kevin Hart could potentially be the most popular stand-up comedian out there right now, so how is this film? To call Kevin Hart: What Now? a movie is a bit of an over exaggeration. It's more just a fifteen to twenty-minute skit that is followed by Hart's stand-up act performed in Philadelphia.
This is a difficult film to review since it is basically just Hart standing on stage telling jokes the whole time. The most accurate way I can "critique" this film is to say that it depends on your sense of humor. If you like Kevin Hart, you'll like this film. If you don't like Kevin Hart, you won't like this film. It's no more complicated than that. As for the skit towards the beginning, it was fantastic. It was a farce on the 2006 James Bond film Casino Royale, and it was hilarious. I can't necessarily say why it was so funny, otherwise, I'd spoil it for you. There isn't a whole lot to say about Kevin Hart: What Now?. The opening skit was hilarious, and if the whole film had been like that, this film would have been an entertaining comedy. However, the skit is followed by an hour-long comedy routine from Hart. I would recommend Kevin Hart: What Now? but keep in mind that it isn't necessarily a film in a traditional sense. This is similar to something you'd find on Netflix. 7/10 I apologize that this is a shorter review, but there really isn't anything more to say about this film.
