Hello fellow moviegoers!
We all love Hans Zimmer. The composer of great movie scores such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Sherlock Holmes, The Dark Knight Trilogy, and Man of Steel. He is currently working on the score for the new DC comics movie BatmanVSuperman: Dawn of Justice. About a year ago when it was announced he would return to score the film, he said he was having a bit of a dilemma about returning to Batman after Christopher Nolan's trilogy. Well, it seems that he has solved this dilemma. In an interview with SpinoffOnline, he said the following: "You know something? I have agonized over it. I agonized over it, so much so that finally, I went, I don’t want to betray what Chris, James Newton Howard and I did. And so I asked Zack [Snyder] if it would be OK if I called a friend in. And I’m going to be working with Junkie XL, who really is a great friend. He just finished the Mad Max score. I said to him, “You take care of Batman. I’ll do the other guy.” And Zack loved that idea. It’s a way out." So while Zimmer is returning to score the movie, he isn't alone. Junkie XL (Mad Max: Fury Road, Divergent, 300: Rise of an Empire), is coming on to do the Batman side of the story with Zimmer continuing on Superman. Personally I think this is a good idea, because it keeps the magnificent score from Man of Steel for Superman, while also getting a new version of the Batman theme. What do you think of this?
