Hello fellow moviegoers!
The first official teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens just hit the web, and it is pretty sweet. I, like many other people out there, got up early to watch for the new Star Wars trailer. I can say that it was totally worth it. When I started watching this trailer, the nervousness really started to hit me. Up until that point I had been thinking the new Star Wars will be great no matter what. But at that moment I realized, it could be bad. Luckily this was a good trailer. Star Wars was my childhood and this felt trailer felt like it could fit into that original trilogy so well. I do have to say that this trailer didn't excite me as much as I thought it would. I was expecting myself to watch the trailer like 10 times in the first hour it dropped. But I actually only watched it 3 times. While that is still more than most movies, I feel like I was let down a little bit. I felt like the trailer could have been polished a little better. At times, I found myself thinking I was watching a fan-made trailer. That could be because of two reasons, the first one is that it still hasn't really clicked that there is a new Star Wars movie, and the second is because some of the shots and facial expressions reminded me of a fan-made trailer. I hope it is mainly the first one, because I would hate to see a new Star Wars movie that doesn't have great quality. Overall, I liked this trailer quite a bit, but I wasn't as excited about it as I would have been. But I do have to point out that my father saw the original trilogy in theatres and this trailer excited him very much. So, nice job Disney, you made it feel like an original. What did you think of the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer? Did it feel fan-made or real to you? Let me know by commenting on this post! Thanks for stopping by! Hello fellow moviegoers!
So, the first official trailer for 'Jurassic World' dropped online yesterday. This trailer has been met with a mostly positive response. Keep in mind while watching this that it is just a first trailer. So, you don't get a lot from it. But what you do get, is pretty sweet. I thought this was a pretty good first trailer. It really just gives you the basic plot of the movie. Which is, the park is now open and is becoming pretty popular. But, the scientists there become too curious and create a weird hybrid-dinosaur. This new dinosaur isn't as tame as the rest of them are so it starts causing havoc around the park. I thought that Chris Pratt did a very good job in this trailer, and he looks like he is going to be a pretty bad-ass character. One thing that makes me happy though, is that he isn't just Starlord. He looks to be a completely different character. Don't get me wrong, I love Starlord just as much as you, but I would hate to see Pratt to start getting typecast as him. Another thing I liked about this trailer was the music. It really just kind of teased the original theme, while also making it more eerie at the same time. There was one thing with the music that took me out of it though. Around the time that they say they made "a genetically modified hybrid", there is a sound effect that sounds like they ripped it right out of this year's 'Godzilla'. Come on, you couldn't have chosen any other sound effect. Overall I liked this trailer quite a bit! What did you think of it? Let me know by commenting on this post! Thanks for stopping by! Hello fellow moviegoers! So, we are all super excited about the new Star Wars movies coming out over the next few years. We know that Episodes VII, VIII, and IX are coming, and we know that we are getting new spin-off movies between them. But, we don't really know much about these films. There have definitely been plenty of rumors surrounding these spin-offs. Han Solo? Boba Fett? Yoda? Well, now we have another name to add to that mix. Director A.J. Edwards recently stated that he is in talks with Disney to helm one of these spin-offs, and that "It will focus on Mace Windu". There have been several sites out there running this as fact. But that is completely wrong. As of today, this is still just rumor. But let's talk about it as if it were true for a second. At first I liked this idea more than most people, but that was because I actually thought Mace Windu was one of the good things about the prequels. Sam Jackson did a terrific job portraying him, and I was kind of disappointed when they killed him off. But that is just on the surface. As I started to think about it a little bit, I started to see just why it would not work.
They killed him off. I am not sure a lot of people would be open to the idea of bringing him back after that. If it took place before the prequels than that would turn even more people off. A prequel to a prequel? Come on. Plus, Sam Jackson isn't as young as he used to be. So if they did that, they would definitely have to recast. I am not too sure who I would cast as a younger Windu. Maybe Chadwick Boseman? Yes, I realize his name is thrown in the mix for basically every role like this, but that is because he is a terrific actor. He will most likely be to tied up with Black Panther though. So I am not quite sure who to cast. Or they could just not make this movie at all. That would be cool too. Seriously, think about it Disney. Almost nobody liked the prequels, and Mace Windu wasn't a very popular character (sorry Sam). You definitely do not want to go back to those movies, because most people didn't like them. You would immediately be dividing your audience, which is not a good idea. The only character I could see getting a spin-off from those movies is Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan. With a little better writing and character development, that is a movie I could look forward to. Do you think Mace Windu would make a good spin-off film? Or would you prefer someone else? Let me know by commenting on this post! Thanks for stopping by! Hello fellow moviegoers! So, Chris Pratt is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood right now. He is most likely being offered several scripts a day at this point. Rumor has it, he even turned down the lead in the 'Uncharted' movie! But now he is joining a newly announced movie, and it is a complete Chris Pratt thing to do. It was announced yesterday that Universal had tapped 'Guardians of the Galaxy' star Chris Pratt to star in their upcoming movie 'Cowboy Ninja Viking'. This movie will be based off of an Image Comics property of the same name. I know next to nothing about this property, but what I have heard, is that it is about a man with a multiple-personality disorder. In this case he has three. A cowboy, a ninja, and a viking. Personally, I don't know much about this property, so I don't know if it is any good or not. But based on what I know so far, expect me there opening night. Because any movie about a guy who thinks he is a cowboy, a ninja, and a viking, will undoubtedly be fun. Plus, they got Chris Pratt to star! WHAT!?! This is perfect. It seems like such a Chris Pratt type of role! Chris Pratt is one of those actors in Hollywood right now that doesn't really seem to care about the money very much. He just wants to have fun, and it looks like he is.
Are you excited about this new Chris Pratt led 'Cowboy Ninja Viking' movie? Are you a fan of Chris Pratt? Let me know by commenting on this post! Thanks for stopping by! |
