Hello, fellow moviegoers! If you’ve been following my blog for a while (or bothered to read the sidebar) you’d know that I post three times a week. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. In the past few months or so, there have been quite a few days that have gone by without a new post. I wanted to take this opportunity to explain to you why this has been happening, and where Kruzereviews could potentially be going in the future. So, to keep it simple, the first three or four months of the year are my busiest. If you know me personally, then you know I’m a Junior in high school, and I’m involved in just about every activity I can be. Recently we were busy with our Speech season, which can be very time consuming when it comes to practices and meets (of which there are many). To be perfectly honest, quite often I didn’t have time to get a blog post done because I was busy with speech. But hey, I was still technically talking about movies as I gave an informative speech on “How Movies are Made” plus my small group of friends and I did an Oral Interpretation of Monty Python and the Holy Grail (if you haven't seen it, do that now). Our speech season recently ended, and our short-lived Quiz Bowl season is over as well; so things should start getting back to normal soon (and by soon I mean right about now). However, being in school does mean homework and studying. So there will be some nights where I get overwhelmed with that and can’t get a post in. I’ll be sure to let you know on my Twitter account (@kruze_reviews) when that happens. These lapses in articles should be few and far between. It’s also important to note that it’s kind of a slow time right now in the movie world. It’s that awkward time between the Oscars and the summer movie season that no really big films really come out during. However, the summer movie season is coming up very fast as The Jungle Book is set to release in only a few short weeks! Then it just gets even more insane from there with The Huntsman, Keanu, and Captain America: Civil War are all being released in the weeks following. To put it simply, we’re in the calm before the storm. Enough about what’s been going on, let’s talk about what could be potentially happening in the future. Recently I’ve been wearing a t-shirt around with the Kruzereviews logo on it. I’ve had several people come up to me and ask if I was selling them and if so where from. So what I’m trying to say is, if you’re interested in getting a Kruzereviews t-shirt let me know by emailing me at Kruzereviews@gmail.com. If there is enough interest, maybe something will come out of it. I need to take things one step at a time. I’m going to need to get back into the groove of the three posts a week format before this happens. But, I’ve made it my personal goal to up that from three to four (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday). It’s a work in progress, and I’m hoping it happens sooner rather than later. But only time will tell. For any updates follow me on Twitter @kruze_reviews. Finally, the last thing I wanted to address is the name. People have been asking me why I decided to have Kruzereviews with a “Z” rather than an “S” like it is in my last name, Kruse. To put it simply? Because I wanted to. There’s not much more to it than that. I thought it looked nice and it’d help people pronounce it correctly. Not everything needs a big complex backstory. What do you think this is? A movie? (Que polite laughter at a joke that wasn’t funny) Where would you like to see Kruzereviews go from here? Do you have any suggestions for a future article? If so, let me know by commenting on this post! If you enjoyed this article, share it on Facebook and Twitter. It really helps! Don’t forget, I post every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, so check back then for more movie reviews and miscellaneous movie thoughts!
